Sub-boards can end up with invalid associated FTN addresses
Hi,
(As discussed on QWW with Rob)
-
Create a set of Sub Boards using the automated FidoNet set-up with a temporary node address, e.g. 25:1/9999.
-
Later change the node address to a 'real' one, e.g. 25:1/123 and remove traces from system configuration of the old one.
-
This 'orphans' the Sub Boards to still use 25:1/9999.
IMPACT:
-
EchoMail tossing and delivery still works as normal.
-
However, Origin lines will be wrong - using 25:1/9999 still.
SUGGESTIONS:
-
Flag this as a warning in the automated configuration checking.
-
Have an easy walk to do bulk changes in the configuration tool (similar to how Mystic allows).
