avatar chooser issues

I'll combine a couple of issues here since it's the same problem.

First, I don't have an avatar, and I don't want one. So when I click "I don't want an avatar" I get

avatar_chooser.js line 588: TypeError: bin is null

Same happens if I click "Edit your avatar".

Second issue. If I click "Upload an avatar" then change my mind and click Q

the mouse completely stops responding to clicks.
