New user email sending "null" rather than sysop name

I created a new user to test the feedback and noticed that the automatic welcome email now says

"null welcomes you"

This was introduced by the fix for issue 463.

Test results appreciated - can we close this?

I just got around to testing and yes, it seems to be working fine with the Sysop's name. Thank you.
