ddmsgreader - timezone far removed from date in wide terminal

I have my terminal set pretty wide and when reading a message there is a large gap between the date/tome and the timezone.

Also, when in the message index, the options at the bottom are centered and the highlight bar fills the width of the screen, but when reading a message it looks like the bar cuts off at 80 columns and doesn't extend across.
