I deleted a couple of subboards earlier today. Now when I use my menu option "J" to jump to a new area, I'm told "There are no sub-boards in Sysop's Test Groups." and it goes back to the menu.
It should probably silently ignore empty areas and not display them as not to cause issues changing to a new area.

I deleted a couple of subboards earlier today. Now when I use my menu option "J" to jump to a new area, I'm told "There are no sub-boards in Sysop's Test Groups." and it goes back to the menu. I guess I should add that if an area has no subboards, then this issue occurs.
What exactly is the issue? This seems like a fairly good/normal behavior to me. If there are no sub-boards in a message group, I'd think it would be good to say so. So, I'm not sure I'm understanding what the issue is.
Having it not display the message group would make the code more complex, and I'm not sure what benefit that would give. If there are no sub-boards in a message group, I'd think it would be better to remove that message group
Also, when you say "goes back to the menu", do you mean the list of message groups, or do you mean your BBS menu?
And I did see a JavaScript error when I tried this scenario - I have a fix for that, but I'm not sure that's the same as what you're describing.
Ah, I see. It returns to the BBS menu (which is what I was asking earlier).
It seems the issue is if there are no sub-boards in the user's current message group, returning to the BBS menu doesn't allow changing to another group. I can make a fix for that.
On your BBS, it says I'm in the "Local" group and "Notices" sub-board.. I'm wondering why it seems to think there are no sub-boards.. I'll try to re-create the scenario on my BBS and make a fix.
It doesn't matter which group you're in, if you use the "jump" option then it'll tell you whichever board has no subgroups and not let you change. Just create a new message area with no subgroups.
That's not the behavior I'm seeing on my BBS. I created a message group with no sub-boards, and it still allows listing sub-boards of other groups (such as Dove-Net), and it only shows the error for the empty one I created.
