DELFILES question w/ Linux

One of our file areas points to a drive that is mapped to a linux PC. The file area settings are set to delete files that are 30 days or older. After using the "addfiles" command to import the files we issued a "delfiles linuxdir /rpt" and noticed that every file we just imported with addfiles reported that it was uploaded 49710 days ago.

I'm just curious is this is because the files are being stored on a linux machine and perhaps the file date is reported differently than it would be on a Windows PC. If thats the case then I can setup a monthly event to delete files every 30 days.
